2001/02 Season

LE DINER DE CONS

France 1998 (15) - 80 minutes
Subtitled

Directed by Francis Veber

Ipswich Film Theatre - 7 January 2002 - 7.30pm

Well-to-do Parisian executives have a monthly dinner to which each of them invites the biggest idiot he can find. The premise may sound tasteless but the idiot unwittingly gets his revenge, meaning that both pathos and burlesque can be served without either leaving an unpleasant taste. Typically theatrical French comedy.
