A study of one woman's fight for justice in which Erin (played by Oscar Winner Julia Roberts) takes up the cause of the inhabitants of Hinkley against Pacific Gas and Electric. Determined to prove that the latter has poisoned the local water supply and despite personal hardships, she eventually wins out.
