KANDAHAR Iran/France 2001 (PG) - 85 minutes Ipswich Film Theatre - 27 January 2003 - 7.30pm An Afghan woman from Canada must undertake a dangerous journey to Taliban-ruled Kandahar where her sister is threatening suicide. A great Iranian director uses this fictional approach to show the bizarre results of a regime run by religious zealots. Full of memorable sequences and vivid photography.
