SUNSET BOULEVARD
USA 1950 (PG) - 111 minutes
Ipswich Film Theatre -
22 March 2004
- 7.30pm
Winner of three Oscars, this is a ruthless story of a down-and-out screenwriter (William Holden) persuaded by a faded movie queen (Gloria Swanson) to be her gigolo and write the screenplay for her comeback film. One of the finest movies about Hollywood, it's a tale of humiliation and exploitation.
