BREAD & TULIPS
Italy 2003 (12A) - 117 minutes Ipswich Film Theatre -
24 October 2005
- 7.30pm
Left behind by her ungrateful family at a motorway rest stop, Rosalba has a sudden impulse to hitch her way to Venice, where she makes new friends with a few off-beat people. This delightful comedy has been very popular despite not having had a high profile general release.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS:
A feast of the eyes and the heart;
A delightful film. I do hope Hollywood does not do a remake;
What a lot of happy smiling faces when the lights went up;
Very Italian. Disorganised, but great fun;
From from feelgood. A sad film what with drooping tulips and smashed roses.
