TOGETHER
Sweden 2000 (15) - 106 minutes Ipswich Film Theatre -
26 September 2005
- 7.30pm
Tired of her alcoholic husband, Elizabeth takes her two children to stay with her brother in the Together Commune. Their arrival brings tension and big changes to newcomers and residents alike. A warm hearted comedy making everybody think again about free love, fresh vegetables and even Lego.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS:
Absolutely brilliant bitter sweet humour. A delight to be transported back to the 70s. Filmed in perfect crackle-vision;
A clever witty film with some serious issues. Nice feelgood ending. A great start to the season. I'm off to meditate;
A long time coming "together" but a cracking finale;
The children were the adults and the adults the children;
The children were amazingly good but the adults were like cardboard cut-outs with a script by Homebase.
