Hollywood Film Theatre - 19 January 2009 - 7.30pm It is the anniversary of the fall of the Ceausescu regime and a radio station in a town some distance from the capital decides to stage a phone-in to look back on the days when the people grabbed back their freedom; two special guests are on hand to provide their own unique reminiscences. An ironic look at the mediatisation of politics, and one of the stand-out Romanian films of recent years. AUDIENCE COMMENTS: Perfectly framed story of a single day; Totally absorbing and enchanting; Subtle, funny, wry, excellent; What a change. Wonderful atmosphere. So tongue in cheek. Thank you for finding it; Hilarious. My heart bled for the TV presenter even if he was a creep.
