Hollywood Film Theatre - 14 December 2009 - 7.30pm Set in turn of the century St Louis, this glorious musical tells of a close-knit family's daily lives, spoilt only by the father's announcement that he plans to move them all to New York. With memorable songs this star-studded movie features a radiant performance by Judy Garland. AUDIENCE COMMENTS: Real class is timeless. What a delightful movie; I'm not a musicals person but the sheer warm heartedness won me over! Also one forgets how really lovely Judy Garland was. A great Christmas film; A new way of enjoying the past; A merry non-event; To think that people used to enjoy this stuff.
