2011/12 Season
EVERLASTING MOMENTS
Sweden 2008 (15) Ipswich Film Theatre -
28 May 2012
- 7.30pm
In early 20th century Sweden Maria Larsson is the mother of numerous children and – no matter what happens to her – the owner of a camera. Her talent as a photographer changes her life forever. A beautifully photographed masterpiece based on a true story.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS:
Harsh conditions, but each had their passions, and with all those children it was truly remarkable;
Beautiful, engaging, a Swedish D H Lawrence;
Not sure about the ageing proces of the two main characters. She never aged at all. Loved the beautiful children;
An extraordinary film of an ordinary life;
Slow, slow, slow, but well done, convincing. Brown is the colour of the future.
