2011/12 Season
MOON
UK 2009 (15) Ipswich Film Theatre -
20 February 2012
- 7.30pm
Approaching the end of his three-year contract as curator of the Moon’s energy harvesting plant and operating systems, Sam (Rockwell) becomes uncomfortably aware that he is not so alone after all. Film buffs count off the astronaut movie references in this queasy love letter to our satellite!
AUDIENCE COMMENTS:
Lots of interesting questions and moral dilemmas plus an original idea and tremendous acting;
Does what the best sci-fi tales do, question the ethics of present day dilemmas. A well worn device of memory implants for example but done well nontheless. Great soundtrack;
Either the plot was confused or I am;
A bit complicated but better than I expected;
Long winded and tedious. Good plot idea but the action was too slow.
