2013/14 Season
CAFE DE FLORE
Canada/France 2011 (15) Ipswich Film Theatre -
10 March 2014
- 7.30pm
A film about love, both maternal and romantic, as we follow two stories and explore the lives of the characters through the music that binds them to their memories. Vanessa Paradis plays a mother devoted to her son with Down’s syndrome; the other character is a DJ resolved to remarry.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS:
Really excellent cinema;
Vanessa Paradis pretending to be ugly – nah;
Had no idea Vanessa Paradis could act! She was really scary. It’s a long way from Joe le Taxi! Great child actors too;
Too slow, overindulgent and I have no idea what that was about. Good soundtrack. Male wish fulfilment crap.
Pretentious twaddle!
