KLUTE
USA 1971 (18) Ipswich Film Theatre -
24 March 2014

Following the disappearance of his friend, private eye John Klute travels to New York to search for him, his chief lead being a prostitute his friend knew. The two form a bond of sorts when it becomes clear that a former client is stalking her.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS:
Wow – more please;
It had a certain style and Jane Fonda had beautifully cut hair;
Of its time. Things were harder before mobile phones;
Interesting, dated, long, drawn out but great acting by the two characters;
Standard of acting that year could not have been very high if Fonda got an Oscar for that performance.
