Ipswich Film Theatre - 8 September 2014 - 7.30pm Anderson’s imagination has run wild and this meticulously filmed concoction, inspired by a Stefan Zweig story, hides a multi-layered, fast paced plot in a central European hotel over 50 years. Ralph Fiennes is in spectacular form as Gustave H, renowned hotel concierge. AUDIENCE COMMENTS: A great start to the season. Captivating, ridiculous but also brilliant and moving; Great fun – sends up so many genres – I lost count. Ralph Fiennes is terrific; James Bond meets Dan Brown; More style than substance; A rather silly surreal romp but the sledge chase was fun.
