2014/15 Season
I WISH
Japan 2011 (PG) Ipswich Film Theatre -
3 November 2014
- 7.30pm
Two brothers separated by divorce conceive, together with their friends, a desperate plan of reunion. When the new bullet trains pass each other for the first time in opposing directions, will the energy released grant their fervent wish?
AUDIENCE COMMENTS:
Rarely have I found such a long film so enjoyable;
Great light-hearted entertainment. Will keep an eye out for this director again;
Interesting portrayal of Japanese domesticity. Nice kids. That’s it;
20 minutes would have been long enough;
Well-intentioned but much too twee and contrived. The soundtrack was also very irritating.
