In 1972 Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward were Washington Post journalists told to investigate an unusual burglary. They didn’t stop there. Watergate and its consequences became infamous in US politics and led to Richard Nixon's impeachment and ultimate resignation. Dustin Hoffman is Bernstein, Robert Redford plays Woodward.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS: A wonderful film then – and now; That was the film for me, but then again – I love typewriters; Echoes of current times. Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman lovely to watch; Gripping story. Strange ending. Excellent acting and atmosphere; Exciting story but very long.
