Author and screenwriter Alex Garland’s directorial début presents science fiction like no one else. Caleb wins a competition and is invited to stay at his CEO's mountain retreat. There he meets Ava (played by Alicia Vikander in a towering performance), who is a special breed of free will endowed cyborg. The presentation begins with the short film Across Still Water.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS: I always thought the nerds would do for us; Gripping! Not usually keen on sci-fi; Loved it. Full of foreboding from the off; What a chilling film. Alicia Vikander was amazing; What happened when she needed to recharge?
