2017/18 Season
SING STREET
Eire 2016 (12A) Ipswich Film Theatre -
19 February 2018
- 7.30pm
Dublin, 1985. A teenage boy struggling at his new school one day meets the girl of his dreams. How to impress her? How to make any friends? Well, form a band of course! This film is great, great fun. Terrific music – and fashion – from the era. The presentation begins with the short film Bald Guy (2011).
AUDIENCE COMMENTS:
Brilliant, such fun, well-acted, good music, thoroughly feel-good but poignant;
What a fabulous, delightful, feel-good film. I smiled all the way through it. Loved the music;
Brilliant film. Beautifully shot and being a Dubliner I can say very true to life. Funny and uplifting;
A lovely musical dream;
Never quite took off.
